Flickr Fun

I just discovered the wonders of emailing photos from my camera phone to Flickr. Woot! Now I have an easy way to get these suckers off my phone and online.

Here are some photos I've been carrying around for a while now on my trusty RAZR.

Some Worthwhile Sites

I just wanted to point out two sites that I think folks should check out and take action.

One is helpbruce.org. The site is a non-profit fundraising site designed and developed by friends and family of Bruce Barrette, my coworker's brother. Their goal is to raise $50,000 to help defer medical and cost of living expenses during treatment of and recovery from a brain tumor.

If you can, donate $10, $25, or $50 to help Bruce out.

The other is massequality.org, a coalition of local and national organizations defending equal marriage rights for same-sex couples in Massachusetts. Mass Equality is working to protect the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court's decision on marriage equality and to defeat any discriminatory amendment to the Massachusetts state constitution in the Legislature.

Please contact your legislator if you support marriage equality, and if you want SC and I to be able to actually have our wedding day!

Solid Gold 70s

The past weekend was busy, highlighted by a 70s Solid Gold party hosted by my coworker's roommate. A good time was had by all. It is amazing how much fun it can be to wear polyester.

For more photos from the party, check out Flickr.

The Past Month or So

Woah... it's been more than a month since I've written. Let's see... what has been going on?

Well, SC and I have been making little home improvements, slowly but surely, in hopes of selling our place. We've been going to tons of open houses, checking out our competition, as well as new places to live.

My parents were in town last weekend for my niece's First Communion. And yes, SC and I had to step inside a church. Ugh.

Oh and SC got her hair cut last weekend at Shag. It took her a while to get used to her new length, but I think she loves it now, almost as much as I do.

I went to NYC a few times for work and ate at some fun, new places. I even earned a few roundtrip ticket on the Acela, so SC and I shall go to NYC for a weekend in June. I even had enough Amex points to pay for most of our hotel stay at the Dream Hotel.

I brought Sydney to get her nails trimmed this morning. It was the usual cat wrangling/wrestling affair getting her into her carrier. However, once we were at the vet, she turned into Ms. Cute Kittypie. The technician said Sydney was so sweet and well-behaved that she didn't even charge me for the trimming. Woo! Good girl, saving mommy $18.

In a little bit, we will go to the Coolidge and see Black Book. I'll let you know how it is.
