Shagalicious

It was a busy day. SC and I spent six hours putting together a new piece of furniture for the kitchen. Ugh. It is hard work getting your home ready to sell.

The highlight of the day, however, was going to Shag Salon for a hair cut. As some of you may know, I usually frequent the local Super Cuts, where I get my $13, no frills hair cut. Anyhow, I was getting sick of the old do. Plus, SC's co-worker recently got her hair cut at Shag and the results were amazing.

So, the experience was all I expected, plus more. The trip to South Boston was certainly worth it. Brian is my new favorite hair guy. He was so sweet and definitely knew what to do with my head of hair. Everyone at the salon was super nice and I even got to enjoy a glass of champagne during my cut. Even SC and NP had a good time watching all the activity at the salon.

So here are my before and after shots for those of you who don't ever get to see me in person:

Juror #172

I had the pleasure of fulfilling an civil obligation today. I had jury duty at the Suffolk Superior Court. Wooo!

It was a close call though. We were up in the court room and everything. I think the last juror that got empanelled was #154. I was #172 so they were getting close to my number.

I guess I was slightly disappointed that I didn't get empanelled. I mean... it feels like you should get something out of all that waiting. Plus it seemed like it would have been an interesting case - assault and battery with a weapon... in a courthouse! The defendant was already indicted of other charges and he allegedly committed his assault and battery during his hearing. [Boston Herald article about said allegation]

Also, the case probably would have run until next Tuesday, and while that probably would have gotten in the way of our project schedule, it would have been nice to get out of the office for a bit. Ha.
