Pet Dreams

I had the most bizarro dream last night. Sydney (my cat) had given birth to two cats (both tabbies), three dogs (one black lab, one yellow lab, and one Scottish terrier) and a wolverine (yes... a wolverine). So, I had all these animals all over the house. I was trying to find people to adopt these animal babies. The Scottish terrier was so damn cute. It was so tiny that it fit into the palm of my hand. Total cuteness.

Consumerism at its Best

I decided to try out the portable external hard drive that I recently purchased from Amazon. I am amazed that this cute little device can fit 80 GB of stuff. Absolutely brilliant!

FireLite

SC's summer class ends tomorrow. I am looking forward to having my less stressed-out and happy-go-lucky girlfriend back... well, at least until fall when she returns to school.

Oh and here is my update on the Thomas Pink situation. On Saturday, I found the most wonderous shirt at the Downtown Crossing location. A beautiful, 3/4 length, pink, herringbone-patterned, button-down shirt. It is so beautiful I almost had an orgasm when I took it out of the shopping bag to iron it. No joke.

Pink Bust

The highly anticipated annual sale at Thomas Pink turned out to be a complete bust for SC and I. None of the really cool shirts were in our sizes. I tried on a nice shirt that was in my size, but I just wasn't crazy about the color... not crazy enough to spend $89 on it (this was the sale price; it was originally $140).

Anyhow, we'll try to hit up another Pink store tomorrow and see if we have more success there. Wish us luck.

Assessments

One of the bad things about being a trustee of the condo association is that I get to know/hear about building problems way before everyone else. I received a copy of an envelope survey done of the building and the results are not good. Pretty much, I am surprised our building is still standing.

Anyhow, I am a big stress ball at the moment because of the potential of highly costly assessments. I feel trapped because I'd like to sell my condo but with the prospect of many assessments to come, I think it will be very difficult to find a buyer. Ugh.

I wish we could just collectively sell the building and the land to a developer. Then I could start off new and buy a swank place in the South End.

Fairy godmother... where are you?

Baseball and Gay Pride

Friday night, SC and I had standing room tickets for the Sox game. The tickets were actually a great deal. Just $25 dollars each and we got to stand over in the 3rd base pavilion area. The view was awesome, we got a ledge to put our hot dogs and drink on, and we had covering when it started to rain. Also, it was the first game that SC attended in which the Sox actually won, so that was another plus.

Yesterday was quite rainy but we were troopers and stood outside under our umbrellas and watched the Pride Parade. We saw MM go by with her UU church group. This year we decided to pass on the women's block party. We opted instead to go out in the evening.

So, we met up with JN and MM at Venu, which turned out to be a total waste because, to be expected, they played hip hop. I don't know what it is with lesbian nights and hip hop. Whoever is up top controlling the Boston lesbian nightlife scene seems to really think that lesbians like to dance to hip hop. Don't get me wrong. I like hip hop when I am driving in my car, but not when I want to go out dancing.

Anyhow, after wasting $21 and half an hour at Venu, SC and I departed to Machine to meet up with DB. The one-and-only Junior Vasquez was spinning and that was a definite treat. Gay boys really know how to party.
